Ash Wednesday Reflection: The Power of Corporate Repentance
As a life-long member of the Church of Christ, I had no idea what Ash Wednesday was until just a few years ago.Since then, I have grown to really appreciate Ash Wednesday and the season of Lent as an important time of repentance in my own spiritual walk. I also recognize that there is great value in the Church coming together as a whole to observe Ash Wednesday. Even for faith traditions like mine, which tend to be skeptical of liturgy and church tradition, we might benefit from a time dedicated to corporate repentance and submission to God.
